The software environment on all of the servers is built on a time-tested Open Source platform. Our servers are 100% Linux based, and we use the same Web servers and application and data components that companies like Google and Amazon depend on.

Hosting
The server infrastructure has been designed from the ground up to accommodate the high-availability demands of our customers’ Web-critical applications. Since 1996, our Cisco-powered network has been serving the diverse hosting needs of customers. From shared environments to managed co-location, we can provide the right set of technologies and services to meet your server needs.
Our fiber-based transmission infrastructure gives us direct access to some of the largest international Internet backbones ensuring that your servers are easily accessible by people around the world.
Service Features
Network Monitoring: All systems are monitored 24x7x365, with technicians being immediately dispatched to resolve any issues that are detected. This monitoring includes both the servers themselves and the different applications being housed on each server. Our network team also monitors the transit times to some of the more common points on the Internet to help ensure that there are no roadblocks to your traffic beyond our network.
Power Backup: The infrastructure features a backup power system, with the first layer being a bank of uninterruptible power supplemented by diesel generator backup for extended outages.
Backup Services: Daily backup services as well as fail-over capabilities are built into your monthly Application Service Provider fee.
Backup servers are hosted off-site, however, and connected with a full-speed 100 Mbit link to the data center so that backup files can be transferred off-site quickly and restored on demand. Backed-up information is encrypted before it leaves the source server for optimum data security.

Security
Solata keeps your data safe by keeping it on special servers accessed by the Web servers, so that Web visitors never actually touch your database. Solata mirrors all data on multiple servers at least one-step away from your Web servers to minimize the possibility of unauthorized access and downtime and to provide an extra measure of backup protection.
