The Solata hosting architecture distributes functions across multiple servers to maximize efficiency and security.
Production Web Servers
The PHP and Web sites are isolated via suPHP, which allows each different Web site to run within a different security context under Apache.
The first tier of the data center handles all of the direct requests from Web site clients, internal employees and other individuals who may be required to access your site. These systems work together in a cluster so that if any one server encounters an issue, the others take over the load without any interruptions or disrupted service to the client. By having the load distributed across the different servers, this also ensures that the Web pages are delivered quickly and effectively, even if a large number of individuals decide to access your site at the same time.
Database Servers
All back-end data resides on these servers.
Protected behind another layer of security, our database servers manage information from all of the systems to ensure that authorized personnel can manipulate the information quickly and effectively. If one database server fails, the others are able to take over and avoid any related system outages. The database is built using the high-performance MySQL engine.
E-Mail Servers
Hosted e-mail communications.
An integral part of the Solata platform is e-mail functionality. Whether it is sending your newsletter to your subscribers, notifying you of report updates or simply confirming sign-ups for your customers, our system can handle the load.
