Established in 2006, Solata Solutions is the “offspring” of Selling Communications Inc. (SCI), an integrated media and marketing company founded in 1996 specializing in the area of business motivation and meetings. SCI was built on the premise that companies would shift more dollars to integrated, multi-touch marketing strategies designed to build relationships with the people most likely to buy, and it has since thrived. SCI is now a dominant player in its market, publishing two print publications, three e-zines and an online buyer’s guide. SCI owns one trade show and co-produces two others.
Unable to find an affordable integrated solution to manage its diverse marketing and media business on a single platform, the company in 1998 created its own software specifically built to integrate and track every touch point between readers, prospects, and clients. Originally called Press2Web, the software was reborn as Solata in 2006, with the launch of an entirely new Web-based hosted application built from the ground up to support an integrated approach to marketing and media.
As the demand for permission-based communications and engagement has continued to grow, the company founders realized that we it had two opportunities, each worthy of its own focus and management:
